Day 28, April Poem A Day, 2021

Write a Re-Mix poem – Look over what we’ve written this month and pick something (or many somethings) to poem out in a new way. I took some of my favourite lines and let them take me somewhere new.

I’m still waiting
Lost in these spaces
and places
In the gloaming
I lay my weary head
In dew-stained grass
Moonlight calling

Night whispers
A heady chant
Shall I heed her
I remember me
Wishing on a star
Light star bright
Foolish games
of a forgotten girl
I think my soul
Was here before
I say to no one
But the night
Lying in the stillness
Waiting for the
World to change
There goes a falling star
Come to think of it
We are all
Rock and dust
Ready to burn
Spilling secrets
But I can still wish
