Poem a Day Challenge – Day 30

Wow – how did we get to the finish line? Today’s poem brought a lot of tributes to fellow poets and I was of the same mindset, remembering how I discovered Poetic Asides three years ago, poeming on the encouragement of all the other generous writers. As always, the writing community never ceases to amaze me.

For today’s prompt we’re to take the phrase “The (blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem.

The Poet’s Society

Step on in
Share grief
And wisdom
Pain etched in words
And rhymes
Through stories, sonnet and song

Find the impossible
of spirit to rise
To love
To hate
Your faith
To rise again
