April Poem A Day Challenge – Day 23

A little micropoetry for today’s prompt – take the word Last (blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem.

Last night
With you
No one else
Nothing to do

Last night
I read my poem
to you
The one where
I wrote about
what fools
we were
And you
had tears
in your eyes

The last time
you looked at me
and said my name
I could tell by the
certain slant of
light in your eyes
you knew me
